  • Complexity set to Medium

This is tricky because geometries and WMS layers can be displayed in different projections.

We don't require this, but do think it's a good idea to at some point align Weave capabilities with standard mapping conventions.

Required by Kansas City, then. =)

Incorporating an OpenScale widget might speed up the solution to this and related feature requests.

OpenScales has a class called ScaleLine.as for this purpose. The code needs to be modified in order to use it.

We don't know what OpenScales or a ScaleLine.as is. Is this something UML is planning to do or are you stating that it is something MARC has to do?

In addition, TechComm was set to "No," although we believe this is one of our original feature requests and therefore outside the purview of the TechComm. Hope I'm misinterpreting something and this is not really an issue.

No - this is for our programmers. It's from an open source library we will use.

TechComm is "No" by default. Since that field was added recently, the first change to each issue after it was added will cause it to be set to the default value. It doesn't mean someone is saying "No, I don't want Tech Committee to look at it" in the new update.

Upon further review, and although we think this is a good feature to have, we do not recollect having requested this feature. Somehow the feature states it was requested by MARC, but the author is Mike Smyser. It would be good to clarify Mike works for King County, Washington, and that organization should be listed as a requester, no?

You requested Feature #1047 Show a scale display when you draw a radius selection, which is a slight variation on this issue. We can't implement #1047 without implementing this one.

Also it says "Required by", not "Requested by"
